Lake Iseo
By car you reach the lake in fifteen minutes, with picturesque, lively towns such as Iseo, Sarnico, Lovere and Pisogne.
At several spots around the lake there are little (grass) beaches where you can rent sun loungers and spend the whole day sunbathing and swimming. In the middle of Lake Iseo lies Monte Isola, a beautiful island you can visit by boat for the day, to walk and to enjoy delicious fish in one of the many little restaurants.
Franciacorta
The Franciacorta region is a small and relatively unknown wine area in the hilly countryside beside Lake Iseo.
Franciacorta wine is often called the Italian sister of French Champagne. And not without reason: it is a delightful sparkling wine, ready to be discovered! During a holiday at Villa Zoadello, a visit to one of the many wine houses the region is rich in should certainly not be missed.
The great thing about the location of the house is that on one side of the hill you have the charming, well-visited Lake Iseo, and on the other side the Trompia Valley — with shops, restaurants and markets where nobody speaks a word of English, the streets are pure chaos, and where the neighbourhood café with fluorescent lighting serves you the best pasta of your life.
Something for everyone
There is an enormous amount to do in the area, on the water, in the woods, on the bike or in the city. A stone's throw from the house there is a lovely restaurant. The village has a small shop and two little cafés, where you can start the day beautifully with a cappuccino and a croissant, and end the afternoon with an aperitivo in the sun.
Cycling & mountain biking
The house is a stone's throw from the 'Passo dei tre Termini', a popular route among cyclists. The woods around the house are also popular with mountain bikers.
Nature & hiking
There are countless beautiful walking trails, and from the house you can walk to the waterfalls of Monticelli Brusati in forty minutes.
On and around the water
On the lake you can kayak, sail and paddleboard, and a twenty-minute drive away lies the beautiful Franciacorta golf course.
Culture & cities
Brescia is the nearest city: in thirty-five minutes you are in the historic centre of this vibrant student city. Verona and Bergamo are about an hour's drive. Milan is an hour and a half away and Venice a good two hours.
